Everyone falls down.
Perhaps leaning too far over the edge,
Curious like a little girl
Or Jane, or Mary or Grace.
Who doesn’t want to be caught.
It’s so wonderfully easy to fall,
To lose sight of the ground
Grasping for something just out of reach.
And sometimes the hardest thing to do is stop
And sometimes you fall so far
You hardly remember who you were
At the top of the rabbit hole.
You hardly know who you are at the bottom.
What this terrible adventure made you.
Where it brought you.
Some may find themselves bored
With their lessons, from time to time,
Like many young girls do.
Naïve and senseless,
Unsatisfied and lovely—
Found herself bored with her lessons.
A white rabbit in a hurry caught her eye.
So curious Alice chased it,
As many young girls have a habit
Of chasing after things
That ought not to be chased after.
She followed it blindly.
And down the rabbit hole she fell.
